Step 7 – Create a Savings Plan

After you have tracked your spending, you might feel a bit overwhelmed about how much money it takes to live. The good news is that you are not alone. Many people feel this way. Don't give up. If you make a few adjustments in your spending habits, you should be able to save some money.

Some people think saving money is impossible, but it is not. Think of it this way. You pay your creditors such as the electric and phone companies every month. You should pay yourself every month, too. Pay yourself by putting money into a savings account.

When you create a savings plan, pick an incentive for your savings. Do not use your credit cards to make big purchases, save for them instead. Remember, everyone likes to have something to look forward to. Review the Tips for Creating a Savings Plan and start saving today!
